Aren’t you glad we’re not so hairy anymore?
It’s dark. Cold. There’s no shelter. There’s no food. Water is scarce. To make matters worse, you’re barely human. You’re just a few dozen generations removed from the first two human beings, born of primates, the last vital link in the evolution of man.
The good news is, you have perfect human thumbs; perfect human feet. You are fully grown at 12 years of age; and if you’re real real careful, you could even live to the ripe old age of seventy-five. The bad news is, that will never happen.
“You” are the successful culmination of the attempts to evolve contactable mind on this world, Urantia; and you are just beginning your Urantian sojourn.
“You” are a bundle of primal mental urges; and these urges increasingly become the familiar core of what it means to be a self-conscious and sentient human being. It doesn’t matter that you— the mind reading this today— are many thousands of generations sequentially following after the first two human beings, beautiful little monkeys with minds fully capable of hearing the thought provoking voice of the rudiments of mind: the adjutant mind spirits. But just like them, you have to solve the puzzle of your existence— or not— on your own.
Still. it is decidedly helpful to understand a few important aspects of why your mind works (or not) the way it does:
1. The spirit of intuition — quick perception, the primitive physical and inherent reflex instincts, the directional and other self-preservative endowments of all mind creations; the only one of the adjutants to function so largely in the lower orders of animal life and the only one to make extensive functional contact with the nonteachable levels of mechanical mind.
2. The spirit of understanding — the impulse of co-ordination, the spontaneous and apparently automatic association of ideas. This is the gift of the co-ordination of acquired knowledge, the phenomenon of quick reasoning, rapid judgment, and prompt decision.3. The spirit of courage — the fidelity endowment — in personal beings, the basis of character acquirement and the intellectual root of moral stamina and spiritual bravery. When enlightened by facts and inspired by truth, this becomes the secret of the urge of evolutionary ascension by the channels of intelligent and conscientious self-direction.
4. The spirit of knowledge — the curiosity-mother of adventure and discovery, the scientific spirit; the guide and faithful associate of the spirits of courage and counsel; the urge to direct the endowments of courage into useful and progressive paths of growth.
5. The spirit of counsel — the social urge, the endowment of species co-operation; the ability of will creatures to harmonize with their fellows; the origin of the gregarious instinct among the more lowly creatures.
6. The spirit of worship — the religious impulse, the first differential urge separating mind creatures into the two basic classes of mortal existence. The spirit of worship forever distinguishes the animal of its association from the soulless creatures of mind endowment. Worship is the badge of spiritual-ascensioncandidacy.
7. The spirit of wisdom — the inherent tendency of all moral creatures towards orderly and progressive evolutionary advancement. This is the highest of the adjutants, the spirit co-ordinator and articulator of the work of all the others. This spirit is the secret of that inborn urge of mind creatures which initiates and maintains the practical and effective program of the ascending scale of existence; that gift of living things which accounts for their inexplicable ability to survive and, in survival, to utilize the co-ordination of all their past experience and present opportunities for the acquisition of all of everything that all of the other six mental ministers can mobilize in the mind of the organism concerned. Wisdom is the acme of intellectual performance. Wisdom is the goal of a purely mental and moral existence.
So. The next time you find yourself taking your intuition for granted, or ignoring the facility of mind that allowed you to quickly string together a creative hypothesis, or experience a burst of raw courage in the face of some asinine political sophistry, or marvel at the beauty of cohesive scientific unity that runs through all of Planet Earth, or find yourself blissfully enjoying the company of good friends, or you are spontaneously overcome by a feeling of awe at the power of a sunrise, or you simply realize the wonder of the hope of the mere possibility of living forever in a progressive and divine universe— remember there is a conspiracy of spiritual forces at work in your mind, and if you can learn to pay attention to them they will never let you down.
An important distinction to note regarding “advancement”:
Our recent evolution is heavy on sophistication but light on true progress. We need some 7th adjutant velcro to remedy that.

I do not. What evidence supports the notion that a mind adjutant “cause” is responsible for “global changes”? Spiritual ministry is never plural in human experience. Human beings are simply incapable of distinguishing the work of individual, or even the unified mind adjutants— the only way they are manifest in human experience— from say, the influence of the cosmic mind; the Thought Adjuster; The Spirit of Truth; or any of the several other spiritual forces which influence human decisions and actions.

The “7th adjutant”— the spirit of wisdom— has always been present “on global terms,” like the others; and since the days of primitive man. However, nothing I know of suggests they minister outside of their individual contact with animal and human mind; perhaps you can enlighten me.
Culture cannot be enhanced unless mind is elevated. And that depends upon the successive missions of the divine Sons and the extent which enlightenment is received by the ages of their respective dispensations.

Prior to my exposure to Chris Halvorson’s work, I didn’t make the connection of mind spirit activity beyond the individual consideration.
We can hardly expect to part with a “quality of life” preoccupation in deference to a “quality of mind” culture without the arrival of the 7th adjutant on global terms as we approach the day of a Magisterial Son uplift, the great age of philosophic achievement and the great check on our otherwise solipsistic science of rationalization schemes.

The “global expression” of the adjutants’ work in the mind of individuals may be an appealing measurement of progress, but it’s essentially just a measurement. It’s not my understanding the adjutant mind spirits “dawn” in some hypothetical “collective mind of mankind”; rather do they do their work in individual human beings. I believe the only technique for accelerating the natural trend of social evolution is that of applying “spiritual pressure from above.”
The only uniform thing about men and women is the indwelling spirit. Jesus exalted the individual by teaching the kingdom of God was within; and when this personal spiritual preeminence is achieved by even the majority of mankind, it wont be manifested in mere improved social and material conditions, (like the industrial revolution??) but rather in the “glories of those enhanced and enriched spiritual values which are characteristic of the approaching age of improved human relations and advancing spiritual attainments.”
As we study the global morphology of mind adjutant evolution portrayed in the UB, we can discover one of the key things we are “quivering on the very brink” of, the global expression of the seventh mind adjutant!
