Yes, it may be bad for a stretch, but I remain confident that the grotesque level of hypocrisy must eventually come down on the very heads of those who are spouting it the loudest, destroying every last shred of credibility they have. Of course that won’t stop Fux Noize from continuing to give these “people” a platform to continue with the destruction of our national discourse. But this battle for religious freedom will drive home just what kind of a nation progressives want and just what kind the traditional right wants, backed by the corporate overlards [sic} 😉

Insightful and well written piece. You have touched the heart of the matter – indeed the current uproar has little to do with the actual building of a Muslim community center and everything to do with “the other.” Well done.

Just so well done Michael. I agree with you thoroughly. We are headed toward something very bad here, and of course the instigators and enablers will all claim innocence, yet the blood will be on their hands.

dont’cha know that gingrich, sister sarah, et al are just concerned with the feelings of a lot of americans. you know, just like when they were up in arms over confederate history month, because so many americans thought it was offensive and disrespectful. oh wait, i think they were okay with that.
