CHRISTMAS EVE — We wish you all the very best of the Holiday Season. We are grateful to each one of you that visits us here in the blogosphere.

The Urantia Book reveals that Jesus was born at noon on August 21st, 7 B.C. But any old day people care to celebrate anything the birth of God made flesh is just fine by us. The once lovely pagan/stolen celebration is currently fraught with all sorts of American Christian social quaintitude (not a real word I’m told) these days, what with the explosion of money to be made around every orifice of the holiday and all its trappings.  Screw all that.  For us, it’s just the celebration of the birth of Christ.

“Just.”

Contemplate this, today.   The Creator of this world and everything surrounding it in the incomprehensible vastness of space, made an appearance on this planet two thousand years ago, as one of us. As human beings, we have to grow into the awareness of who we really are.  And so did he.  And it bears repeating:

One of the most important things in human living is to find out what Jesus believed, to discover his ideals, and to strive for the achievement of his exalted life purpose.  Of all human knowledge, that which is of greatest value is to know the religious life of Jesus and how he lived it.

The last two thousand years have been tumultuous to say the least.  A world without the visible presence of celestial beings threw the doors of stupidity and ignorance wide open.  But change is inevitable.

A new and fuller revelation of the religion of Jesus is destined to conquer an empire of materialistic secularism and to overthrow a world sway of mechanistic naturalism. Urantia is now quivering on the very brink of one of its most amazing and enthralling epochs of social readjustment, moral quickening, and spiritual enlightenment.

Enjoy the ride.

  1. Hi Doc,
There are many “architectural worlds”— worlds that are entirely constructed— in the UB. But they’re celestial spheres. Ringworld was a ring a-ding-thing. Larry gets an E for effort, though!

And a Happy Holiday to ZN too!

  2. just wanted to stop by and wish you all a happy holiday! 😀 i am so glad that michael, terry, propagandee, and saitia stopped by the raisin so that i could discover this place. i just love it here, and it is one of my daily stops now. you’re all invited over to the raisin this evening for a little sing-along. and, yes, there will be refreshments! 😉

    1. Hi Nonnie,
Thanks so much! Although I can’t remember exactly how I stumbled into Hysterical Raisins, I do remember instantly realizing I had found a kindred spirit, and a clever, bright, and talented one, to boot. (I gotta do a post on kindred spirits 🙂 ‘Cause there are good reasons why our blogroll is called “kindred spirits.” Anyway, we’ll get our bells on and see you later!

Prove you're human: leave a comment.
