Blood Sucking Scum

Doonesbury captures the current zeitgeist

Just watched CNBC do a live interview with Michael Moore about the OWS protests. The interview was supposed to be inside the New York Stock Exchange where CNBC has its broadcast studio, but the NYSE’s Temple Guardians wouldn’t let Moore into the building.

Forced out onto the street, he was moved once again by the cops down to Broadway, where the interview finally took place, remotely. Naturally, Michael was bit peeved about the snub and spent the first couple minutes venting about it. Which was okay by me since the action itself underscored the whole divide between Wall Street’s Masters of the Universe and their subjects, Main Street’s Great Unwashed.
